I am a lucky man! I really enjoy being a GP. I love the variety of interesting problems which present to the familly doctor. I live and work in this delightful village called Mosman. All I need now is to see a bit more of my wife and three great kids!
I grew up on Sydney's North Shore and graduated from Sydney University in 1977. After 5 years' post graduate training in hospitals in Sydney, Newcastle and in the United Kingdom, I established a successful General Practice in Neutral Bay.
I moved the practice to our Mosman premises in 1990. I have had a broad spectrum of medical training. My special interests are paediatrics, mental health and sports medicine. We live in Mosman 5 minutes from the surgery. (10 minutes by bicycle) My hobbies include Tennis (pretty good), snow skiing (pretty bad!) and swimming. On rare occasions I can even be prevailed upon to serenade on my guitar. I speak fluent French and Hungarian (something I picked up in passing).
I am an advocate for the medical consumer and I have fought to resist the intrusion of government into the special private relationship between doctors and their patients. More recently, a new threat from big business demands equally vigorous resistance.
I support my patients' right to have control over their health decisions at every stage of their lives.
I consider it a privilege to be included in the lives of my patients as they face major health challenges. While this is often difficult; It is enormously gratifying to make a positive contribution.
Warning: Motorcycles are a health hazard!
